Q: Can we bring our own drinks and food?

Yes! The Spirit of Dallas is BYOB and picnic friendly. Feel free to bring your favorite drinks, snacks, or takeout from your favorite restaurant. Our benches even convert into tables so you can dine comfortably on the water.

Q: What is the dress code?

We ask that guests dress comfortably and appropriately for a sailing experience. Swimsuits and inappropriate dress are not permitted aboard. We recommend layers, as it can get breezy on the water — especially during evening sails.

Q: What do I need to bring to board?

Just bring yourself, your ticket confirmation, and anything you'd like to eat or drink! Life vests are provided on board for all passengers. Our crew will handle the rest, you just show up and enjoy the sail.

Q: Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but we've got you covered in case of weather. If we cancel your sail due to rain or high winds, we will notify you at least 1 hour before departure and work with you to reschedule. Please monitor your email on the day of your sail.

What do I need to know before I board the boat?

We want your cruise experience to be as fun, relaxing, and easy as possible! To ensure smooth sailing from the moment you arrive at the dock, please keep these three important details in mind:

‍Arrive On Time: We run a tight ship, so don't be late—the boat will not wait! Please plan your travel accordingly, as all ticket purchases are non-refundable.

‍Sign Your Waivers: A matching photo ID and a signed safety waiver are required for every passenger prior to boarding. Links to the waivers are emailed to the person who booked the cruise. Please make sure everyone in your group signs their waiver before arriving.

‍Bring Food & Drinks: Guests are actively encouraged to bring picnic baskets, snacks, or grab to-go meals from the nearby Rockwall Harbor restaurants before boarding. All cruises are BYOB for alcohol (beer, wine, seltzers, and mixed drinks). You are welcome to bring small-to-medium roll-on coolers. To make mixing easy, DFW Boat Ride provides unlimited free water, sodas, juices, and cups of ice!

Do you offer boat rentals?

We do not offer bareboat rentals. To ensure a completely relaxing and luxurious experience, all DFW Boat Ride vessels are fully captained and professionally crewed. You just step aboard and enjoy!

Can we bring our own drinks and food?

For food, we recommend grabbing a bite from the restaurants at The Harbor Rockwall before boarding, or bringing your own snacks to enjoy on the water.

What is the dress code?

We keep it relaxed and casual, dress comfortably for the weather and the water. Soft-soled shoes are recommended on deck. Whether you're coming straight from work or dressing up for a special occasion, you're welcome aboard. Just be sure to dress for the season, as temperatures on the lake can feel cooler in the evenings.

What do I need to bring to board?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure at The Harbor Rockwall (2059 Summer Lee Dr, Rockwall, TX 75032). Have your booking confirmation and waivers ready, either printed or on your phone. If you're bringing alcohol, please ensure all guests consuming it are 21+ with valid ID. That's it, we'll handle the rest!

Are tickets refundable?

All sales are final, and tickets are non-refundable. However, if DFW Boat Ride cancels or reschedules a cruise due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your tickets to another available date. We recommend arriving early to ensure you don't miss your departure, the boat departs on schedule.
