Our double-deck boats “Harbor Lights” and “Sapphire Moon” on Lake Ray Hubbard offer the utmost convenience and comfort for any guest:

Harbor Lights

• Enclosed main deck with floor-to-ceiling windows, climate controlled – every seat has a great view
• Upper deck open to the sky and stars
• Handicap accessible. Manual wheelchairs only.
• Restroom aboard (accessible with handrails)
• Tables and bench seats for passengers on both decks
• Complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments
• Music is streamed to the boat by a music for business service, in a variety of genres for all.  Sapphire Moon offers an open air boating experience with open air upper and lower decks.

• VIP style lounge seating on the main deck.  Upper deck has couch and bar seating. 
• Restroom aboard
• Full stainless bar and serving areas for your special events
• Premium sound system.  Sorry, you may not play your own music during a public cruise unless you use earbuds; no speakers. Only licensed music for business service is permitted.
• Spike / Stiletto heels are prohibited aboard Sapphire Moon.
• Regarding weather, Sapphire Moon will cruise in light to moderate weather and the captain will not cancel in such conditions.  Go/No-Go decisions are based on safety meaning light to moderate rain is not a reason for the captain to cancel.  Thunderstorms or lightening within 5 miles of the boat or excessive high winds, are what the captain considers for taking a 20 minute delay or cancelling. Please plan accordingly.

Spike / Stiletto heels are NOT recommended because the boat may move in waves making you unstable.  Spike / Stiletto heels prohibited aboard “Sapphire Moon”. Leather sole shoes are very slippery if the decks gets wet.   Casual attire.  Shoes, shirt required.  No swimsuits. No see through.

Well behaved children are welcome on most cruises.  If there is an age restriction you will see it next to the name of the cruise on our home page calendar; most cruises do not have age restrictions.  All guests regardless of age MUST have a ticket for public cruises, including babies.  Some boats and/or cruises have only one ticket price available for all ages.

Manual Wheelchairs only. Our boat can accommodate manual wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, or baby seats. No motorized chairs allowed aboard.

Yes, it is safe. We have only licensed, experienced captains and crew for your safety with more life-jackets on board than required. We have an assortment of child and adult life jackets. Safety instructions are provided with your confirmation and announced prior to departure each cruise.  If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID, masks are recommended.

Yes, your food/picnics and BYOB (beer, wine, seltzer only on public cruises) are welcome aboard.  Small and medium coolers welcome aboard. Glass bottles of champagne, wine, or beer are okay. And we provide FREE Sodas, Water, Juice and cups of ice.  Outside food is welcome.

We provide complimentary sodas, juice, water, cups, and ice for drinks. Small and medium-size coolers are welcome aboard.  Kroger’s, CVS, and Walgreens are the closest stores for beer & wine to go.

All guests on public cruises regardless of age must have a ticket, including babies. Our boat Harbor Lights can cruise with up to 90 people on board, Sapphire Moon up to 49.  Harbor Lights has 140 seats total between the upper and lower decks, Sapphire Moon 58.   We have plenty of space to move around and enjoy the scenery.  Mask recommended if you’re not fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID.

Yes, both our vessels have one restroom aboard.   Harbor Lights is our largest boat and its onboard restroom is larger and most handicap accessible.  Both boats have their restrooms on the main deck; no ladders or stairs to climb to access the restroom. There are also convenient handicap accessible onshore restrooms steps from our boarding dock, next to the harbor footbridge in the one story building adjacent the Hilton near the water.

TRAFFIC ALERT:  Expect delays in your drive at all hours, due to the I-30 bridge construction at Lake Ray Hubbard.

Harbor Lights boat lake cruises depart and return out Rockwall Harbor on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard, the best sailing waters of the Dallas area.  DFW Boat Ride’s boarding dock is close to 2059 Summer Lee Drive, Rockwall, TX 75032.  Go to the waterfront adjacent the Rockwall Harbor Scott Self Memorial Lighthouse, behind Dodie’s and the Hilton hotel.  Self park for free anywhere in the Harbor District and walk to the waterfront toward the lighthouse, you will see our dock.  The Hilton only offers valet parking only ($ fee), all other Hilton parking is reserved for their guests.  ALL HARBOR DISTRCIT PARKING IS FREE, including the satellite lots located across the street from the movie theater and across the street from the realty offices; allow plenty of time to park and walk to the boat (15 minutes or more)!  All purchases are non-refundable so please do not miss the boat. 

From Dallas take I-30, EXIT Village/Horizon Rd, almost immediately take a right on Shoreline Road, then right on Summer Lee Dr. It is approximately 30-50 minute drive (depending on traffic) from downtown Dallas.

Don’t be late, the boat will not wait!  Boarding time begins approximately 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.  Your seat may be subject to forfeiture if you are not aboard within 5 minutes of departure.  All purchases are non-refundable.

All of Harbor Lights’ cruises are no smoking and no vaping.  Viloations are means removal from the vessel and/or termination of the cruise.  All purchases are non-refundable.

Pets are not allowed, no exceptions.  Only documented Federal ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant trained service animals allowed (contact us well ahead of your cruise   info@dfwboatride.com); trained service animals have been specifically trained to perform life functions for individuals with disabilities, including but not limited to: visual impairments, deafness, seizures, mobility impairments.  NO emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals allowed; they are NOT considered nor qualify as service animals under the ADA.

All DFW Boat Ride purchases are non-refundable. If you have an emergency, please let us know well before cruise time.  We may be able to help but can not make any guarantees.  Email info@dfwboatride.com  and be sure to include your reservation name and date/time of your cruise, or your confirmation number. 

All cruises are subject to cancellation only by the captain because of excessive high winds, lightening within 5 miles of the boat, or thunderstorms; light to moderate weather and light to moderate rain is not a reason to cancel.  We will contact you on your cell number (if you opted in for texting) or email the address you entered in reservations if the cruise is canceled. There is no charge if a cruise is cancelled and we will refund your credit card, or in some cases offer a bonus if you allow us to convert your tickets to a DFW Boat Ride electronic gift card; you must reply to our cancellation email within 48 hours if your captain cancels.  We start processing refunds the next business day after your cruise.  Only if we cancel does your purchase become refundable.
